From cutting off all of their hair, to growing their own food, to freezing their credit cards in blocks of ice, teenagers are sharing their unique (and sometimes wild) ways of saving money. As a part of H&RBlock’s and DoSomething.org’s new campaign to motivate teens into saving, their stories are being shared across the web via social media.
Submissions are open through April 30th with a chance for one frugal teen to win a $4,000 scholarship for the best saving strategy. The contest requirements are no minimum GPA and it’s open to U.S. and Canadian citizens 25 years of age and younger.
