Teenagers Share The Strangest Ways They Save Money

What unusual ways are teens finding to save money? Everything from cutting off all of their hair to growing their own food to freezing credit cards in ice.

teenagers talkingFrom cutting off all of their hair, to growing their own food, to freezing their credit cards in blocks of ice, teenagers are sharing their unique (and sometimes wild) ways of saving money. As a part of H&RBlock’s and’s new campaign to motivate teens into saving, their stories are being shared across the web via social media.

Submissions are open through April 30th with a chance for one frugal teen to win a $4,000 scholarship for the best saving strategy. The contest requirements are no minimum GPA and it’s open to U.S. and Canadian citizens 25 years of age and younger.
